How this site handles information you send.

This policy explains what happens when you use cainblythe.com. The site is a personal website for Cain Blythe. Cain Blythe is the data controller. There is no separate company privacy officer. Questions: cain@cainblythe.com.
What this site collects
You can use most of the site without sending personal information. The site collects data when you choose to submit a form.
Contact form
The contact page asks for:
- name (required)
- email address (required)
- organisation (optional)
- inquiry type (required) — speaking, media, partnership, investment, podcast guest, or general
- message (required)
Speaking inquiry form
The speaking page asks for the contact fields above, plus:
- event name
- event date
- event type (keynote, panel, workshop, podcast, or other)
- audience size
- budget range
- message
Those submissions are treated as speaking inquiries so a reply can be sent.
Newsletter
The homepage and book pages offer an email signup. That form collects your email address. The signup copy states there is no spam, you can unsubscribe at any time, and messages are about twice a month.
Email you send directly
If you write to cain@cainblythe.com, that correspondence is handled as ordinary email.
Why it is used
Form data is used only to:
- reply to the inquiry you sent
- send the newsletter, if you asked for it
- keep a record of the request so it can be followed up
Personal data from this site is not sold, rented, or passed to advertisers.
Where it is stored and who processes it
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes the technical information needed to serve pages (for example the request itself). This site does not add a separate advertising or analytics cookie banner, and the source code does not include a third-party analytics script.
When the site is fully configured, form and newsletter submissions are stored in a Supabase database (contact submissions, speaking-inquiry details, and subscriber email). A notification email may also be sent through Resend to cain@cainblythe.com.
Some pages embed third-party media. The speaking page includes a SoundCloud player. Using that player is subject to SoundCloud’s own terms and privacy policy. Links to LinkedIn, X, CreditNature, Ecosulis, Stabiliti, Nature Means Business, bookshops, and other external sites leave cainblythe.com.
How long it is kept
Contact and speaking inquiries are kept for as long as needed to reply and for a reasonable follow-up period. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. Exact retention periods are not published elsewhere on this site; if you want a record removed, email cain@cainblythe.com.
Your rights
You can ask what information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to its use. To do that, email cain@cainblythe.com from the address you used on the form. If you are in the UK, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Children
This site is not aimed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated text will be posted on this page with a new date.
