The Mission

Rewild half the planet by 2050.

Why Half?

The E.O. Wilson Half-Earth thesis makes a simple but profound argument: to preserve the biodiversity that sustains all life on this planet, we need to protect and restore at least half of the Earth's surface.

This isn't idealism — it's the minimum viable target supported by conservation science. We are currently losing species at 1,000 times the natural background rate. Ecosystems that took millions of years to evolve are being dismantled in decades.

But rewilding at scale is also the most effective nature-based climate solution available to us. Restored ecosystems sequester carbon, regulate water cycles, prevent flooding, purify air, and support the pollination systems that underpin global food production.

The economic value of nature's services has been estimated at $125 trillion per year — more than global GDP. Yet we treat these services as free. The mission is to change that: to make nature's value visible, measurable, and investable, so that restoring the planet becomes not just the right thing to do, but the profitable thing to do.

The Roadmap

2020–2025

Build the Tools

  • + NARIA framework, Ecosystem Condition Index, nature credits
  • + Prove that nature can be measured, valued, and traded

2025–2030

Prove the Model

  • + Scale CreditNature across UK, Europe, Africa, New Zealand
  • + Launch Nature Means Business as a media platform
  • + The Fear Paradox: shift the conversation on environmental fear

2030–2040

Mobilise Capital

  • + Attract institutional investment at scale
  • + Work with governments to embed nature value in policy
  • + Launch the Cain Blythe Foundation

2040–2050

Restore at Scale

  • + Half the planet under active rewilding or protection
  • + Nature-positive economy as the global default

This can't happen without you.
